Naturopathy is an approach to healthcare based on the principle that the body, if given what it needs, has the inherent ability to heal itself.
Naturopathy encompasses a variety of treatment methods employed under the principles of treating the individual, not just the condition, treating the cause, not just the symptom and using the healing power of nature to promote health.
Using a combination of natural medicines and realistic dietary and lifestyle advice, the body, mind and emotions are supported during the healing process in order to overcome disease and restore the individual to their optimal level of wellness.
Madeline Sheppard Naturopathic Practitioner
Hello, I’m Madeline and I am a Naturopath practicing in Fitzroy and Essendon, Melbourne.
As a practicing Naturopath I am registered with the National Herbalists Association of Australia (NHAA) and I am a registered provider with Australia’s major private health funds.
I treat a broad range of health issues, with a focus in the areas of stress and mental health and their role in other conditions such as low energy, gastrointestinal disturbances, weight management, hormonal imbalances and fertility, chronic inflammatory and autoimmune diseases, acute illnesses and general wellness.
As a healthcare practitioner, my goal is to ensure your health is constantly improving and evolving with every treatment and every visit.
My treatments are based on a combination of scientific evidence-based findings and traditional naturopathic principles. I believe that it is important to work collaboratively with all other healthcare practitioners to ensure you receive the appropriate level of care required.
I hold a Bachelor of Health Science in Naturopathy from the Southern School of Natural Therapies and a Bachelor of Psychological Science from ACU.
